For Business...

Monthly Networking Luncheons are conducted at various locations throughout the Norwin and Penn Trafford areas. Speakers from non-profit and community organizations are scheduled to educate members on their programs and services. Activities such as Matchmaker Networking and Progressive Networking are also scheduled during these luncheons. These have been designed to allow our members maximum prospect opportunities.

Evening Business Mixers enable members to network their businesses after work hours in casual informal settings. Mixers are hosted by fellow Norwin Chamber members who receive the added opportunity to open their doors and really showcase their businesses. Mixers are held in different locations from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Ribbon Cuttings are conducted by the Norwin Chamber staff and members for new businesses joining the community and chamber. Articles and photos are submitted to local newspapers and are published in the Norwin Chamber's monthly newsletter.

The Young Professionals Group is for members or employees of members (between 21 - 40 years of age) who are young entrepreneurs or young working people interested in enhancing their leadership skills. Young Professionals will learn various business skills, learn to be comfortable with networking and learn from seasoned business professionals. Activities of the group will includes educational seminars, social gatherings and activities, tours of local companies, mentoring opportunities and community service projects.

The Women In Business Initiative is a quarterly networking program that focuses on educating, inspiring and empowering women in business. Each event includes introduction and 30-second commercials, a business growth series that includes speakers on women-related topics and a business forum that focuses on networking. Breakfast is sponsored by a Norwin Chamber member woman in business.

Seminars on a variety of business topics are offered to members and guests. Topics range from time management, profit and team building, networking techniques, marketing, strategic planning, estate planning and more. These seminars are made available to members and guests because we feel that knowledge is the key to being successful.

The Annual Dinner and Business Expo is held each spring and draws businesses large and small. This event provides our membership with the opportunity to showcase their businesses during the expo, recognize outgoing Board members, welcome new Board members and honor the Chamber Person and Community Person of the Year. Attendees enjoy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, dinner and DJ entertainment throughout the evening.

The Annual Golf Outing is held each June and draws over 115 golfers, both male and female. The outing includes breakfast, boxed lunch, a round of golf, drink tickets, full dinner, 50/50 raffle and prizes.

Annual Member Appreciation Day honors the reason why we are here - our members. This annual event, held in September, includes a Vendor Table Expo, goodie bags, chair massages and food donated by the membership.

The Holiday Mixer, held in December and hosted by the Board of Directors, is always another well attended event. Held at the Shidle Lodge in downtown Irwin, more than 100 people attend this casual event filled with food, friendship and business relationships.
