Community

The Good Friday Breakfast is an annual community event where representatives from a diversity of faiths come together with prayer in a commitment of working together to keep our community strong with faith.

The Annual Thunderbucket Classic Softball Game is held the Sunday before the Norwin Community Picnic at the Norwin High School. This fun event features the Norwin Rotary and Norwin Teachers as they face off to see who's the best softball team. The Norwin Rotary and Norwin Chamber of Commerce hold 50/50 Raffles and Food Sales to benefit both organizations' Scholarship funds.

The Norwin Community Picnic is held on the first Wednesday of August every year at Idlewild Park in Latrobe, PA. This picnic, organized and sponsored by the Norwin Chamber of Commerce, recognizes the Norwin area and allows families and friends to come together to celebrate their community. Business owners throughout the community donate money and prizes to give away during the big finale of the day.

Beautification Project - The Beautification committee is a group of volunteers who contribute countless hours to the beautification of the landscaped islands on Route 30 at Norwin Hills Shopping Center and Route 30 at Dunkin Donuts as well as the two islands by the Queens of Angles Catholic School. This ongoing project is funded solely by the generous donations from the businesses and organizations of the Norwin Chamber of Commerce.
