Partners In Progress is a partnership between the Norwin Chamber of Commerce, the Norwin School District and local business people. The Partners In Progress committee organizes the following educational events.

Job Shadowing - Juniors at Norwin High School explore their career interests for one day with a business person in the particular field. The Partners In Progress committee holds an orientation at the beginning of the school year. Interested students submit applications and are then set up for their shadowing near Groundhog Day.

Career Fair - Local companies, hospitals, armed services, businesses and professionals set up displays in the high school class rooms. Grades 9 through 12 attend informational lectures throughout the morning. Students can ask questions and address concerns about their area of career interests.

Excellence in Education Luncheon - This luncheon is held every May to honor the Top 20 students or 5 percent of the graduating class (whichever is higher) from the Norwin High School. The local business community sponsors the students' lunches and gifts.

Norwin Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Foundation - This foundation is a separate organization which is funded by various fundraisers throughout the year. The Foundation awards a $1,500.00 scholarship to a Norwin senior. The senior and their parents are honored at the Chamber's Norwin Networking Luncheon in June of each year.

Leadership Westmoreland is a 10-session Leadership Development Program specially designed by the local chambers of commerce to expand community leaders and enhance creative leadership skills. The focus of the program is to grow self-awareness, developmental skills and community understanding.

Scholarships - A $1500.00 scholarship is awarded each year to a child or grandchild of a Norwin Chamber member or an employee of a Norwin Chamber member. The scholarship is awarded to a high school senior and there is no stipulation on the school district they attend. Funds for this scholarship come various fundraisers throughout the year.

Financial Realty Fair - Local Credit Unions and Norwin Chamber members work together to prepare students, grades 9-12, for the cost of living in the real world on their own. Students pick their career and learn to live on a budget within their means. The Financial Reality Fair is held each year in the spring and fall at the Norwin High School.
